Meet Therese Pettersson – a hands-on marketer turning hard facts into relatable values
From Skultuna to Malmö’s innovation district. Today, Therese Pettersson is a key contributor to Rescue Intellitech’s marketing, focused on making its advanced decontamination solutions clear, customer-centric, and value-driven.
“I enjoy working close to the technology, but always with a human, customer-focused perspective. At Rescue Intellitech, we develop cleaning equipment for protective gear, which means our offering helps protect firefighters from harmful substances and reduces occupational risks. Clean equipment makes a real difference, so our marketing needs to balance hard facts with relatable values for the people at the front line. Translating technical solutions into something relevant and beneficial to customers and society is both challenging and important,” Therese explains.
Therese joined Rescue Intellitech through the Sandberg Development Graduate Program, where the Group tailors early-career talents to its portfolio companies. She has now been with the company for a year and is thriving in her role.
“The program was the perfect starting point. I got to combine hands-on projects with theory while getting to know the Group. Over time, I developed a strong desire to work with products that serve a clear purpose. At Rescue, I have the opportunity to work with solutions that enhance safety for people in high-risk professions,” says Therese.
A drive to stay hands-on in marketing
Therese’s journey to Rescue Intellitech began when she moved from Skultuna to Helsingborg to study for a Bachelor’s degree in Service Management. After a theory-heavy degree, she continued her studies at Medieinstitutet to gain more practical skills in digital tools, web analytics, and marketing.
“I’m a very hands-on person and want to see how things work in real life. My education gave me a strong foundation – both a theoretical understanding of customer behavior and the practical tools needed to turn strategies into measurable results,” Therese explains.
Making complexity simple across five markets
It was during her first steps into working life that Therese discovered her passion for communicating complex technology. At an engineering consultancy, she found joy in making complicated matters easy to understand.
Today, she continues that work at Rescue Intellitech. Through SEO, content creation, and digital advertising, she translates hard facts into meaningful value across the company’s five markets.
“When I started working, I realized how much of a difference it makes to translate technology into something people actually understand and can act on. It’s easy to get stuck highlighting cool features and technical details, when the real value lies in the problem we solve for the customer. I call it “understandability” – connecting technical product features to tangible benefits for people and society. Rescue is on an exciting journey better explain the values of its product portfolio, and I feel fortunate to be part of that,” Therese concludes.
