Pål Borge appointed new CEO of Silanos - Innovation and growth in focus for new CEO
In May 2023, Sandberg Development became a part-owner of the Italian dishwasher manufacturer Silanos. As part of the company's development journey to streamline and future-proof operations, Pål Borge, former Director of Change Management, has been appointed as the new CEO of Silanos.
Silanos and Nordic Clean Solutions (Nor:disk) initiated an innovative technology and development partnership in 2019, which was solidified in a strategic alliance in 2023 together with Nor:disk's owner, Sandberg Development.
For the past two years, a transformation has been underway to refine and modernize the organization and working methods, focusing on combining the strengths of both companies and their management teams. In this process, Pål Borge has, since 2024, been responsible for production and capacity planning to ensure increased delivery reliability for larger volumes and "customer happiness". Now, Pål Borge takes over as CEO. Former CEO Marco Silanos continues in his role as owner and is responsible for the company’s commercial activities.

Pål Borge has a background in both the manufacturing industry and consumer electronics and has worked for Perstorp, Sony Mobile Communications, and Anima/Kronaby. Marco Silanos remains strongly engaged in the business, responsible for sales and strategic business development.

Silanos is a family-owned company that is a market leader in Europe within the professional dishwashing industry. They manufacture more than 35,000 dishwashers and dishwashing accessories per year and offer a wide product range, from compact glass washers to the most powerful machines for flight-type dishwashers that can handle 9,000 plates per hour. Approximately 90 percent of the products are exported. Production takes place exclusively in Italy and exclusively in Pioltello in the Milan province.
