Sandberg Development Graduate Program – a project from the heart

I still remember the feeling when the idea first began to take shape. We were discussing the future and what Sandberg Development truly needed to grow in the right way. About four years ago, the concept for our Sandberg Development Graduate Program was born. The vision was to create a trainee program that opens doors to the future by bringing fresh perspectives, new expertise, and young talent into Sandberg Valley. As Head of HR, I was involved in shaping the program from its foundations – it quickly became a project close to my heart.

Welcoming our third cohort

Although spring has only just arrived, I am already looking forward to the fall with great anticipation. In September, the third cohort of our Graduate Program will begin. It feels like yesterday that Stefan K Persson and I had our first meeting to discuss the program. Time really flies. We may be getting older, but the people within the Sandberg Development Group certainly are not. The program is not only about kickstarting careers – it is also an opportunity for the Group to stay young, dynamic, and continuously renewed.

An exchange that creates value – and inspiration

Sandberg Development was built on a passion for technology and innovation. But for us, it is equally important to develop people who can make a difference.

The Graduate Program is a central part of our company culture – the Sandberg spirit. For us, it is only natural to encourage a trainee to walk straight into the CEO’s office with an idea. It creates a genuine exchange: we offer experience and a pathway into professional life, while our trainees give us curiosity, engagement, and fresh perspectives that challenge our thinking and inspire new ways of working.

Where tomorrow’s talent grow

Throughout my years in HR, I have seen time and again how the combination of learning and practical experience creates real impact – that is where development truly accelerates. To me, it is one of the strongest foundations for a sustainable and meaningful career, both for the individual and the company. There is something especially joyful about putting academic knowledge into practice while building relationships that often last for years to come.

Our Graduate Program comes from the heart. It is about creating an environment where people can grow into their full potential. That is why we continue – and why we are already looking forward to September.
