The finance team at Sandberg Development – structure with a side of Friday dancing

Sandberg Developments ekonomiteam står glatt uppradade framför ett magnoliaträd i Sandberg Valley.

On the third floor at Jägershillgatan 26, you’ll find a close-knit team. Precise, flexible, and with a family-like atmosphere – and a shared passion for numbers and structure. But ask them what truly makes them successful as a team, and the answer comes immediately: their differences. They describe themselves as a mashup – a mix that together creates a hit.

1 + 1 = success

It’s just after nine when we step into the meeting room. All seven team members are already there – prepared and full of energy. While the team formally meets once a month, stopping by each other’s offices or having lunch together is part of everyday life on the third floor. There’s always an open door.

“Everyone is helpful, and that’s what creates success – the absence of ego,” says Caroline Rosensköld, Accounting Manager.

“I’ve never been part of a team where I feel so confident that someone will step in and help,” adds Sara Thelin, Accounting Manager.

Caroline Lindgren, also Accounting Manager, sums up what brings them together:

“We’re all in the same boat.”

Stress and pride are shared – no one stands alone.

Good decisions are grounded in reality

In a Group that is constantly moving forward, agility is key. Succeeding in a dynamic and fast-changing environment requires quick thinking and a willingness to adapt.

“A lot is happening all the time, which means we need to be flexible and adaptable,” says Kenneth Persson, Group Accounting Manager.

Henrik Mark Almqvist, Business Controller, agrees:

“It’s definitely a challenge – but that’s also what makes it fun.”

Complying with regulations and report according to established principles is a given. The real value, however, lies in translating numbers and data into clear, actionable decision-making insights.

“What we deliver helps create a better understanding of what drives the companies forward, enabling management to make better decisions. That’s what we contribute every month,” says Madeleine Larsson, Head of Accounting.

A common misconception is that they are strict and tightly controlled – a perception the team is keen to nuance.

“Structure creates the conditions to think outside the box. It’s better to tie your shoes before you start dancing,” Henrik adds.

“Our work requires focus at times, especially when we’re closing the books each month. But we’re actually friendlier than people might think,” Madeleine says.

A rhythm of differences

The team brings together a wide range of professional backgrounds – IT, construction and real estate, banking, and the Sandberg Development Graduate Program. But it’s their personalities that truly make the difference.

Precision and focus come naturally to Madeleine, a former competitive shooter, and to Caroline, who is working toward a hunting license. Why walk on your feet when you can walk on your hands? That’s the mindset of Erica, who practices equestrian vaulting, and Henrik, who coaches beach volleyball. At home or on the playground – you never quite know where you’ll find Sara and Carolina, both parents of young children. Kenneth, on the other hand, is most likely at his summer house or at a football match with his son.

Structure and control are something they all agree on. But when it comes to choosing the best music for a party, opinions quickly diverge – leading to the question: if the Sandberg Development finance team were a music genre, what would they be?

Sara answers without hesitation:

“A mashup!”

And that’s exactly what they are: a dynamic mix of helpful, quick-thinking individuals who value each other’s differences, while sharing a love for order, structure, and dancing on Fridays – that’s the finance team at Sandberg Development.
