Major GRANULDISK investment - inauguration of new production facility in Malmö

GRANULDISK recently moved into new facilities in Malmö. The history behind the large-scale investment is strong growth in Sweden and Europe and increased demand, not least from Asia and the Middle East. The company has recruited about ten new employees and expects to recruit more in the longer run.

- "We have enjoyed a leading position in the Nordic countries for many years, but are now seeing a breakthrough on a broad front. Above all there is a significant demand for the time and resource savings that our Granule technology offers, in combination with an increased focus on the environment. In other markets, for example in South-East Asia and the Middle East, we see other driving forces. This is where the requirements for hygiene and reliable products are increasing as a result of a behavioural change, when customers choose to stop washing up by hand and start using our machines," says Peter Schön, CEO of GRANULDISK.

The new GRANULDISK has been designed by JS Arkitektkontor and measures approximately 6,000 square metres, of which 2,700 square metres is production facilities, with the possibility of expansion in the longer term. With its new production facility, GRANULDISK is increasing its production space and doubling production capacity. The new facilities also include several fully-equipped demo centres with the latest products from GRANULDISK, as well as training facilities for technicians and support teams. On top, there is a large roof terrace. Building began during the second quarter of 2014 and it was built by Peab.

- "For nearly 30 years, we have been singing the praises of our system's environmental advantages. More and more customers look upon water as being in short supply and the Granule technology is by far the best at reducing water consumption. It therefore feels natural to invest and especially good to do it here in Malmö," says Peter Schön, CEO of GRANULDISK.
