Spin-off of GAIM from Aimpoint

Based on Aimpoint's red dot sight for fire arms, the company has developed a commercial VR platform, GAIM, which is now spun off to a separate company.

Based on Aimpoint's red dot sight for fire arms, the company has developed a commercial VR concept, GAIM, which is now spun off to a separate company. The VR concept simulates true-to-life hunting situations and advanced practice and analysis features for marksmen in training purposes.

Since 2017, the GAIM VR Experience has been sold to a number of selected customers. Interest from the market, especially from the event industry and hunting retail industry, has lead to the spin-off. GAIM is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Aimpoint. The next step will be to fully develop GAIM's potential, including realistic virtual environments for police and military academy training.

- We can now see how well the VR concept can work in training purposes. The concept offers real shooting practice in virtual environments adapted to the marksmen's needs, says Martin Jonsson, President and CEO of Sandberg Development, owner of Aimpoint.
